Taught introductory circuits, dynamics, and structures as part of a residential summer program for rising high school seniors in the summer of 2014. The goal of the program is to introduce high school girls to the basic principles and ideas of mechanical engineering. More information about the program can be found at the WTP-ME webpage.
Serve as a mentor to a team of 4-6 undergraduate and graduate students in the project-based Global Engineering course taught by Professor Winter in Fall 2014 and Fall 2015. Guide team members in the design process and provide feedback on strategies and concepts developed.
Worked with 6 other students to get support, space, and funding for a student run maker space in the Mechanical Engineering department at MIT. The space now has ~40 mentors and ~200 registered users. Serve as a mentor in the space, working a weekly shift as well as training students on the lathe.
